Mitsui Masking Tape™ B5940 is a superior surface protective film consisting of polyethylene film with water based acrylic adhesive.

Features

1. Easy to adhere under low tempereture and resist tape edge float.
2. Easy to peel off after long term laminating.
3. Available wide width. (～1600mm width)

Proposals for uses

Especially suitable for protection of stainless steel sheet during metalworking.
Also can use for Aluminum, Coated Metal, Plastic, and glass etc.

【Measurement Method】

・Adhesive
Strength

180° peeling test on SUS 304 BA or PMMA plate at 23°C x 50%RH environment and peeling speed of 300mm/min. Tape was applied and allowed to dwell at 23°C x 50%RH environment for 24 hours before testing.

・Tensile
Strength &
Elongation

Stress test to measure breaking strength & elongation with Testing Machine using 10mm width test piece at 23°C x 50%RH environment, peeling speed of 300mm/min, and chuck distance of 40mm.

・Unwinding
Force

Measurement of force required to unwind the tape at 23°C x 50%RH environment and peeling speed of 300mm/min.
